Eva Nevarez St John

Who We Are

Eva Nevarez St John, founder and President of Creative Consulting Solutions, draws on her diverse background and experiences to assist non-profits, foundations, municipalities, tribal nations and other government entities in increasing their revenues and impact in these increasingly challenging times.    

Ms. Nevarez St John has over 30 years experience working with non-profit organizations as a volunteer, Program Director, Executive Director, founder, board member and consultant. 

Ms. Nevarez St John has been an independent consultant since 2004.  She has worked with a variety of non-profits, foundations, municipalities and other governmental entities on board development, business planning, fundraising planning, grant writing, grant reviewing and program evaluation.

Ms. Nevarez St John has been a grant reviewer for the United States Department of Treasury's Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) and New Market Tax Credit (NMTC) programs since 2007.  She has been a grant reviewer for the Department of Health and Human Services' Job Opportunities for Low Income Individuals (JOLI) program.  She has reviewed HUD’s Continuum of Care Homeless Assistance program applications. She was a grant reviewer for the United Way of Metropolitan Chicago, where she has served on the Adult Community Impact Panel, Venture Investment Fund Panel and the Financial Stability Committee.  She served on the Grantmaking Committee of the Chicago Community Trust's Latino Giving Circle.

Ms. Nevarez St John is a veteran who served in the United States Army and United States Army Reserves.

Ms. Nevarez St John has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Maryland, a Juris Doctor from the George Washington University National Law Center and she has completed the University of Illinois’ Urban Developers Program.  

Ms. Nevarez St John has a diverse cultural background. She has extensive experience in the nonprofit and public sectors.  She has raised millions of dollars in funding.
